Dependent EAP Calculator

  • Select class level you will be in during your EAP term. You can view your current class level on GOLD under "Registration Info".
  • Select your EAP program length. You can find this information on the UCEAP website, under the "Dates and Eligibility" tab of the UCEAP program-specific page.
  • Quarters Attending Abroad

    If your Fall semester program ends on or before the end of December, select Fall.

    If your Fall semester program ends between the end of January and end of March, select Fall and Winter.

    If your Spring semester program ends between the end of April and June, select Winter and Spring.

    If your Spring semester starts in March and ends on or after June, select Spring only.

    For Year programs, select Fall, Winter and Spring.

  • Residency Status
  • Select cohort year when you entered UCSB.
  • Your SAI can be found on the Award Letter tab of My Aid Status or on your SAR (Student Aid Report) from FAFSA/CADAA.

  • EAP Total Estimated Program Cost of Attendance : This is the total estimated cost of attendance for your program (Fees Paid to UCEAP/Program Fees + Personal Expenses Not Paid to UCEAP) and is found in the cost tab of your UCEAP program-specific webpage. Do not include Non-Resident fees.
  • The airfare amount is provided in the "Customize Your Estimate" section of the Cost tab of each UCEAP program-specific page. The airfare will be itemized in the estimate that appears.

    If your program is new and the "Customize Your Estimate" tool is not available, you may use a round-trip airfare amount from a flight agency online. However, keep in mind that your award letter will be based on UCEAP's posted airfare amount and it is your responsibility to find airfare that is below or at the same rate that UCEAP establishes.

  • For Pre-ILP and Summer programs, Cal Vet Tuition Waivers, and other special circumstances, please email finaideap@sa.ucsb.edu. Include your perm, program name, country, and term you will study abroad.
